Day 26: Lighthouse

Matthew 5:15-16
14 “You are the LIGHT of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.

The purpose of the Lighthouse

A lighthouse is a tower, building, or other type of structure designed to bring  light from a system of lamps and lenses and to serve as a navigational aid for pilots  at sea or on inland waterways.

Lighthouses mark dangerous coastlines, hazardous shoals reefs, rocks and safe entries to harbors.

The Lord says you are a city on a hill, a beacon of hope, a light House.

The Lord has put you in a home and has placed a light house on your home.  We are to use that light. Meaning  you have to engage in prayer and be that light over your neighbors that are in your area. As you do this that light will light up your area around you and shine on others in your territory.  Jesus says He is the light of the world and who ever follows Him will not walk in darkness. If Jesus lives on the inside of you then you have that light to give out to others. This light brings, God’s hope and love and direction in this dark world. This light brings His salvation. Some of us have ask God to give us a land or a territory. He has already given you a field to work.

Psalm 16:6

The Lord say that the boundary lines have fallen into place for you.

God placed you in a certain area.

Are you working your felid? Have you been faithful at being the lighthouse in your neighborhood and praying for them? Start off with your street, then you neighborhood or subdivision. What about your 10 mile radius where you get gas, go get food, where you shop daily? Ask the Lord to give you a burden for the lost that is around you and believe for revival in your area. Can you imagine if all of God’s lighthouses that He has placed in every area would rise up to this task? We would surely see a move of God.

Luke 10:2 The harvest is ripe but the laborers  are few. You are the laborers.

Remember the greatest command God gave us

Matthew 22:37-39

Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’[c] 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.
