Matthew 18:19-20
“Again I say to you, if two of you agree on earth about anything they ask, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.”
During our Jesus fast there are things we are focused on and there is one particular thing we must have; let me explain.
Satan fears unity, he fears relationships – especially godly ones. He made no attempt to destroy Adam until Eve entered Adam’s life. Conversely, God celebrates unity. He honors agreement regarding breakthroughs and miracles. Be quick to recognize a God-sent prayer partner. “If two of you agree”, we are not designed to go at life alone, we need partners, especially during a fast.
One of the focuses of a fast usually involves some type of breakthrough, and let’s be honest, it can be hard to focus when you’re hungry. Our focus is on our grumbling stomachs and massive headaches.
I remember one particular fast where Valerie and I were believing for something, she was busy with work and kids, I was busy traveling, it was difficult to persevere. One day a long time friend called me and said “What are you doing?” I told him and he said “I am your agreement partner”.
What! not prayer?
Nope, agreement.
“If any two of you agree”. It took a while but, breakthrough came!!
DLC, you are one of our breakthroughs, we had agreement partners before pulling the trigger and moving here. This is our season as a family, as a united front against the enemy of our loved ones souls; through the Holy Spirit we will be strengthened and will stand and see the hand of God.
I want to encourage you during our Jesus fast, find an agreement partner and see things change.
